Miroslav Pavelka has worked in IT and security for more than thirty years. As a senior cybersecurity consultant and trainer, he brings together technology, personal data protection and law, particularly in public administration and healthcare. He is also a full-time doctoral student at the Department of Information Technologies, Faculty of Economics and Management, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He enjoys debunking long-standing myths and explaining security in plain Czech. He reminds management that security is not just about protecting systems, but also about an organisation’s ability to continue operating when those systems go down - and that responsibility for this cannot be forwarded to IT by email.
